In my room it's very hot at the moment. The window have been open all week and it's still all hot and stuffy. I can't sleep properly even though the window is open right above my bed. Anybody know any ways I can cool down my room and make it feel more airy? Thanks in advance. x

  1. drape a wet towel over your window, the breeze, if there is any, will blow through the towel and create a cooler feeling

  2. When its hot opening your windows don´t help, gotta invest in some air-con

  3. Try sticking a fan in the window.

  4. I would shut the curtains to get the sun out, especially during the day. Get a fan and turn TV or computer off when you can because the give out heat.

  5. You can use a fan to suck out all the inner heat to the outside, or you can use a fan and point it towards you, but put a big bowl of ice in front of it. as it evaporates into the air, the fan will blow it, and you'll get a much cooler breeze.

Also if it's really really hot, keep your hot spots moistened. wrap a cool wet rag or towel around your neck, or under your arm pits. cool those down and you'll feel much cooler.

  6. i got the same prob and i´m planing to buy a fan. i don´t got any other idea, sorry!!

  7. just lock your door cloes your blinds, cutains and walk around in the nude, helps me.

  8. get a fan

  9. keep the curtains closed during the day it makes a huge difference

  10. Closing the curtains to keep the sun off is a good idea, as is buying an electric fan. Try placing a dish of ice cubes in front of the fan to help cool the air it blows around. If possible create a 'through draught' by opening windows/doors (if safe!) on opposite/adjacent sides of your room. You can buy portable air conditioning units for about £100, if you're in the UK - and if you are, it'll probably be freezing again soon!
