How can I correct my personal information listed wrong on "people search" websites?

I was bored today and did a search for my name on a few people search websites (Yahoo!, Lycos, White Pages, etc.) and most of them have my wrong age, address, one even listed an ex-boyfriend as a relative! How can I correct this information?

Do not correct it.  Honestly, don't try to correct search engine sites.  You do not want people to be able to look up on the internet and find your personal information.  The more information there is listed on you the harder it will be for someone out there trying to steal your identity.  I've searched my name too, and I have a lot of wrong information and am happy about it.  The only thing you want to monitor is your credit report to make sure someone isn't trying to use your identity to obtain credit.  You should do this at least twice a year.
