How can I create a formula in powerpoint and have it display the result?

I have a powerpoint that I want to show the sum of a table for but not the formula itself. If I copy/paste it from excel, it pastes the value and erases the formula.

    In Excel, hold the shift key down then use Edit > Copy Picture.
