***The first invitations I sent, had 2-windows available before sending the invitation; 1st window type guest e-mail address or yahooID, 2nd window type a personal message. (I used the 2nd window to explain the purpose of the group)

***In any new invitations I send, only the 1st window is available. The personal message window is skipped and a new invitations read "name@yahoo.com has invited you to join the Name group!"

***If I clicking on the edit button, yahoo! takes me back to the window for typing the recipients' e-mail address.

  1. Yahoo disabled that text box in April. read about that here:

there's not much you can do but send an e-mail prior to sending the invite, explaining the group and the invite- if you have a closed membership group, you're stuck but if it's not and since invites have always been glitchy, send that same e-mail as I suggested but include the groups URL and skip that invite form. the members can click the URL and join per the big blue tab Join This Group
