How can I create a wireless home network for my laptop? ?

I would like to keep my PC connected to the internet with cables and create the network just for my laptop. Is that possible with one wireless router and one DSL modem?

you should actually try getting a cable modem instead of DSL and then use a "linkless" modem (available at best buy) that should work just fine... it's the system I use!

First. YOu should ask your home phone service about internet service if they have.

Then ask them to give you that service.

I think Comcast is a good internet network. so strong. and It's cheap now. for 6 months just 19.99 each month.and then It will be 32 bucks for each month

It's fine for me and my family. I'm online almost everyday. My brother download music everyday.ahah.and my father need internet for his bussiness. So it's great!.

Comcast will give you just a phone line DSL internet.

YOu can ask them to switch that to Wireless.

You will go to WalMart or bestbuy to find a router cuzz If you order a router from Comcast.they will cost you very expensive.

A good router around 100 bucks or more.but the rest of that is great.

Yah.. you can definitely do it ..... in fact .. i m using same setup at my home ... desktop with cable connected to router and laptop wireless connected to router ..

yes, it's Possible..

if you loginr  to your router, you can see the option for wireless network and security..  for LAN seperate settings are there.

it sure is. just get that router and make sure your laptop is wireless compatible. youre good to go.
