How can I create a word out of a picture?

If you go onto photobucket, there are pictures of words spelled out with like bubble letters with a picture inside the letter. Does anyone know how to do that?!

In any program that supports layers and masks (Photoshop, GIMP, etc.,) create a layer that contains the type. Size it as you see fit.

Position the pictures on other layers UNDER the type.

Go back to the type layer and make a mask out of the type layer. In Photoshop, it's as simple as load selection -> current layer.

Select the INVERSE, so the area outside the type is selected.

Move to each photo later to delete the area outside the type (delete key.)

Now delete the type layer, and flatten the image, save the file.
