How can I create my own website for free?

I need to create my own website that has its own URL.But every time I try it either costs money or comes up as:

http://yahoo.geocities.hogwartschoolonline.com

You see,I am making a Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry website (from Harry Potter)and I want it to have its own URL so when people want to go on it they don't have to type in http://www.yahoo.geocities/hogwartsonline.com

    free and you can choose your own URL

  3. You can create a web site for free but to have your own domain name there is going to be a charge. There is a yearly charge of about $5-$10 and then a site will charge for hosting. You can see the premium Geocities sites here.

  4. you would have had to be on the internet 10 years ago.  now they will start charging for just blinking your eyes.
