How can I crush ice?

Hey guys i love eating snow cones, slurpees, slushies and all ice related treats. So about a week ago i started putting ice cubes in a zip-loc bag and started to crush them with a hammer but after a while it started getting anoying because the bags would rip and i would have to replace them and other tedious stuff. So what are some ways that i can crush ice to eat my treats? please give me some ways and what i need for them...and i dont want to buy a blender of a ice crusher or anything...i want a home-made way...something easy and simple....and all the items should be easy home-items nothing i should have to buy...ok thank you...

first thing stop being cheep buy a good blender.but why you need anyone to tell you to double the plastic bag or buy very thick freezer bags use a hammer with very big flat head.

Oh my! I do this all the time! Hahah.

1. Put like 10 icecubes in a plastic bag.

2. put like 1 or 2 more plastic bags over the ice.

3. find a hammer.

4. go iin your back yard and smash it till its how you want it to be.

put it in a zip lock bag, then get a potato masher or a one of those hammers to make schnitzel and bang it. i hope it works!

I agree with "saraparks" answer. Saves money on plastic bags also.

Crush it in a clean dishtowel. But not a terrycloth one, a tea towel. Instead of a hammer you can use one of those metal meat-beating things like you flatten out chicken b*****s with.
