Question:

How can I cut my own dead ends? ?

Please please please don't tell me to go to a salon, right now that's not an option.

I honestly want to cut off like.. a centimeter of hair only. I just want to know if there's like a fool proof way to do it?

Can I do it with regular scissors?

Thanks and sorry if I seem a bit clueless, lol.

  1. If you can wait 48 hours or so and you can afford a one time price of around $50 bucks (and it quickly pays for itself), get a Robo Cut.  Set it for the length you like and it will take off even the tiniest amount.  I love mine, I will never pay to have my hair cut wrong again!  Plus it is quick and fun and the vacuuming feels really good, too.

  2. It depends on how long your hair is. If your hair is long, like mine, just comb it back, pull down on it evenly, and clip the ends.

If your hair is short, you need to comb it in strands the way a stylist would, and snip off a little bit at a time.

  3. If you really want to cut your hair yourself this is a good way to do it.

Use masking tape to mark off how much you want to cut.  That will keep the cut from being uneven.  Then you can just cut it off with scissors.  It will have really strait edges but it will be even.

It's easier if someone else does it though, like a friend or family member.  Just follow along the edge of the tape, and you'll be good to go.  Good luck!!

  4. i hear nail clippers work for split ends
