How can I deal with severe stress?

There are times when I get stressed out easily! Easily!!! I can't spend too much time on the net because I get headaches. Life is about trial and error. I noticed this about myself...when I get stressed out/ burnt out/ whatever you want to call it/ I smell bad. I smell like ammonia. My body doesn't digest food especially diary. I become animated, lose focus and feel like an animal. Sometimes when I am not under stress at all...I become very intuitive. Sometimes I have dreams about the future and they come true. I am artistic. I think we should look past these labels. There is something there. Something in this world that we can not see or explain. I think anything is possible. I have to figure out a way to deal with stress and not allow some so called doctor label me. I can not always articulate how I feel so doctors try to put words in my mouth. We are all unique. Labels...they are only a quick fix. Always keep searching until you find a solution. Life is difficult. 20 yrs old, femal

  1. This is the genealogy forum.  We research dead ancestors.  This is not the right place for this question.

    Further, do not take the advice already posted here of lay people.  I am a Registered Nurse and work on a psychiatric unit.  You need professional help, not B-Complex.  That is bogus.

  3. Working out or exercising on a regular basis is a great stress reliever, you can also try picturing yourself doing something fun when you get stressed. I hope this helps!

Take a class on meditation.Learn to go within your soul and find peace and relaxation.Read all the best selling books on metaphysics and the paranormal.Check out local metaphysical book stores and sign up for a class.Visit all the local museums and art galleries for inspiration,and then sign up for an art class.All this will keep your mind free from everyday stress.Go for it!

  5. You already know the answer:  Listen to your body.  If dairy is hard to digest, you are stressing out your body by eating it.

    If you feel stressed out while on the computer, set a timer and only surf for a few minutes at a time.

    Do what feels right for you.  Keep a journal and follow your moods.  See if they are affected by work, by certain foods, by the weather, etc.

  6. well.... to help you not get stressed try putting a fountain near your office or where ever your computer is..... people can sometimes feel like they seen what ever you are experiencing and that is called (i don't know how to spell it but this is what it sounds like) day-ja-vu and that is common.. vitamin water also seems to calm me some times... try to get rid of some of your stressful activities... maybe that will help
