  1. Do you like seasons and snow or do you like warm weather and the beach?

  2. according to what weather you like... maybe doing research for the college you want to enter to is a good thing to do

  3. Of course, ultimately it's up to you, but here are some things to think about.

The individual university is probably more important than the region it is in.

What do you want to study ? What programs are offered ?

Do you prefer a big city or a smaller one, or maybe one that is primarily a college town ?

Large school (like a 50,000 State university) or a small college ?

I would consider those things before thinking about regions.

In general, people choose schools that a closer to home rather than farther away.  Many people do travel far away, too, but if you made a chart of distances, it might be something like:

    0-25 miles: 30 percent

    25-100 miles: 30 percent

    100-500 miles: 25 percent

    over 500 miles 15 percent.

    (Those are just my guesses.)

If by Southern you mean (roughly) the states of the Confederacy,

I would say more people from there go out to other states than

those from other states go there.

When you think of high ranking schools, they are in

the Northeast, the Midwest, and the West Coast.

(Ivy League, fine state schools like Michigan, Wisconsin, Cal,

and private institutions like CalTech and MIT.)

These are all generalizations, but they might provide you some

starting points to narrowing your selection process.

  4. Your first question is going to be what kind of weather do you like better. You like summer, stay in the South.  Other than that, if you go in the North you will be in smaller, yet richer states.  The first 13 colonies, history, the Ivy Leagues.  You will find richer people in the colleges there, and therefore more snotty.  Most of the schools up there are much smaller.  If you want to be in a political career, you have a better chance there. There are better chances of getting internships there as well.  The south will be the complete opposite.  Personally, I would suggest the North because I love colder weather.  Good luck.
