How can I decorate a Paris/Fashion theme room?

My family and I just moved into a brand new house. I want my room to resemble a Paris/Fashion theme. What colors should I consider painting the room. Ans also what types of artwork should I put on the walls. Basically my question is what are some suggestions for decorating this room for that theme?

For the color of your room...I wouldn't paint it white. I think a rich dark/deep pink would be really nice for this theme. (it's the color of my room and it gets a lot of compliments) it looks something like this - http://www.lnique.com/linens/solid-fusch...

If I were doing that theme I would go with the classic colors like black, white and red. Like the old movies, very chic. Lots of feminine fabrics, sheer curtains and a four poster bed would be great. A dressing table and a great mirror, along with beautiful glass bottles for your everyday items like lotions, perfumes and make~up brushes.

A dress making mannequin and a full length mirror would be a must. As to the art I would use collections of black and white photos on one whole wall. My preference would be shots of Paris mixed with French high fashion from the late 50's.
