Question:

How can I decorate a classroom for "Passport to Adventure?"

We're doing a 12 week series in children's church called Passport to Adventure. The kids will have passports and the theme is travel. Decoration ideas? It's a small room and not a big budget.

I was thinking of using maps on the walls or something. I can probably get free ones from AAA. I'm afraid it'll just look like I taped trash to the wall though.

Any cool thrifty ideas for decorating a room in a travel/adventure theme?

Thanks

  1. If you can afford construction paper, you can make a road curving around on the walls. At different points on the road, put up pictures or cutouts of adventurous places, like jungles, mountains, pyramids, the desert, the North Pole, maybe some exotic city scenes or famous buildings like the Taj Mahal.

You can either cut out jungle trees, pyramids and so on from the construction paper, use a color printer to print photos from the Internet or find them in magazines. Or have the kids draw them.

I like the maps idea, so work that in somehow, too.
