How can I delete something?

I had downloaded a file, but the transfer was interrupted and now, every time I try to delete it, it says "It's being used by another program, close it and try again", but the problem is there is no program using that file...

How can I delete it? If I click on properties, the "properties" window doesn't even open. And I don't know what size it is.

Hi,

You have not given a whole lot of information.

But if you are using a some kind of a download manager to download this file chances are that, that program is trying to still resume the interupted download. You might want to completely shut down that program and then go to the folder which stores the incomlpete downloads and try deleting it again.

show programs on the desktop.open that file or what ever it is.click on it and slide it over to the recycle bin
