  1. Dorking Kebab shop is very small place, but enough room to accommodate twenty or so drunks as they come staggering out of the nearby pubs onto the high street. We just made it in time to order our Chicken Kebab and chips before the pub crowds arrived. I noticed that the owners had removed their only fruit machine, presumably not making enough money on that, preferring the space for extra drunks. A shame, as I used to love picking holes in the apostrophe usage on the sign beside the machine ‘Over eighteen’s only’… “Over eighteen’s only what?”.

Once home the kebab was as usual lovely, chips unfortunately a little overdone. At least I remembered not to get the unusually potent onions they hand out at Dorking Kebab – last time I was still tasting those a week later. There you go!

  2. A kebab from a takeaway is a last resort when you're pissed and everywhere else is shut!
