I was involved in an accident and the cop issued me a ticket. So I want to dismiss that Traffic Ticket. I heard that some online traffic school option is available. Can any one suggest the online resource where I can dismiss that traffic ticket and to learn about safe driving.

  1. Hello Peterson,

In Washington state dismissing the traffic ticket is called "Defensive Driving Course". Now a days most of the people are dismissing the traffic ticket and learning the updated state road rules by online.

There are very few approved online course providers offering this course in Washington state.  I will suggest http://www.ndsstrafficschool.com website which is approved by courts in the state of Washington.

    Thanking you.

  2. First you will need to check with the judge and see if this is available for your situation because many times it is not.

If it is available it is called "defensive driving" and once you have completed it you will need to stay clean for the next 6 months or everything will be voided.

There are many of these classes and all you need to to do is goggle it or ask the dmv in your hometown.

  3. Whatever you do, DO NOT MISS THE COURT DATE!!..Do not do anything in advance of going to court, like going to traffic school...Traffic school is a 'sentence' of the court...Only the court can dismiss your citation...If you decide to contest the ticket, you can request that during your court appearance and a date will be set for your hearing...When you appear before the judge, ask what your options are in order to clear your record and the judge will spell them out for you.

    Good luck.
