How can I display over 60 3x5 flags? I need creativity!!?

I want to display them indoors, and I don't want to spend money on real flag poles or real indoor flag poles. I have over 60 country flags that are 3x5 polyester (most are Europe), and a few a square. I need creativity, I;m stumped!!

You don't say how you want to display them, I assume hanging as if on a vertical flag pole, unfurled...(who would have room for many 5' flags! I don't think there is an inexpensive way to do it! You would need a heavy base of some kind, a pole of some kind, and the pole would have to be capped somehow to look good. AND the poles would have to have some kind of finish on them, as well as the bases. I suppose you could use concrete blocks broken to almost square (8" block) cement in a 1" poly pipe, paint it, use an end cap for the pipe....and drill and wire the flag to the pole. Over time, the pole may bend...don't know. The concrete block could be covered with inexpensive fabric. Other than that, don't really have any other ideas. Goldwing

You could put string or wire from the ceiling and attach to that, unless you want to tack them on the wall.

You can also hang them on drapery rods.  I also have quite a collection of heraldry flags and put them on inexpensive wrought iron looking drapery rods which enable me to change them out when I wash them every 6 months or so with another selection.  I saw this done in a castle in Europe where they had high ceilings in the dining hall and copied the elegant display.

5- 2" PVC floor flanges

5- 2"x10' PVC pipe

60 - 5/8"x 5' wood dowels

1- 1"x 4'x8' plywood

Drill 8 holes in PVC pipe for wooden dowels (angled up)

Attach flags to dowels and place in holes

Cut plywood in 2'x2' squares

Attach flanges to squares

Attach pipe to flanges

Use sand bags or other weighted material to hold base

cover with cloth
