I am an environmental freak as you can probably tell. And I just don't want to throw them in the dump. So I was wondering, is there any way I can recycle them?

  1. i'm pretty sure that only CFL light bulbs have mercury and have to be disposed properly. flourescent bulbs can be normaly recyled

  2. Take them to the Richmond-on-Thames recycling centre in Townmead Road off Mortlake Road.  You can recycle all sorts of unexpected things there including fridges & freezers

  3. Check with your local stores. Some Home Depots, Lowe's, and Targets have drop-off sites. It varies from store to store.

  4. eat it.

  5. Thank you for your concern

these are a major contributor of mercury to the environment even when recycled

    use LED lights

  6. I throw them in the trash,  I have been doing this for 30 years or more and the world has not ended yet.

  7. Tell us what state you live in.  In Calfornia we have official hazardous waste collection centers.  If you live here, tell us what city you're in, and I'll give you directions.
