How can I divide on BlackBerry 8100 calculator?

The "divide" button turns the number into a fraction automatically instead of waiting until I enter the number I am dividing by.

It sounds as though you are pressing the ALT key prior to pressing the division key (which is the AS) key. All you have to do is just press the AS key for division, not ALT then AS.

So if you wanted to divide 27 by 9, you would open the calculator, press 27, then the AS key, then 9, and then the Enter key.
