How can I do a good cosplay of Arisato Minato (Persona 3 Main Character)?

I'm still a beginner and I need tips. Please help.

First, you need to visually dismantle the costume.  Analyze it carefully and break it into its component parts.  (One girl was worried about making the vest for her character, as it had tons of pockets all over it.  Once she analyzed it, she realized a small man's fishing vest would be perfect -- if she shaped it with a few simple tucks.  Problem solved, simply and inexpensively.)   See what the costume really is.  When looking at costumes, one often sees the overall effect.  To recreate the costume, you need to se the component parts.  Start there, and feel free to email me with any questions.  If they are specific to your character, please include a link so I can see what this character's costume looks like.  I am unfamiliar with all these characters, but am extremely familiar with costuming.
