Question:

How can I do a "sunken eyes" kind of effect with makeup?

This is for a costume I am planning, by the way. Anyway, I want to have that kind of dark, sunken look for the eyes, but not just smearing black everywhere, I want it to look kind of real.

Kind of like this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/canibalismo_ya/2461257178/

I'm sure the lighting has a lot to do with it, but that's the general idea of the makeup I want to go for.

Any tips?

  1. apply some black/dark brown shade lightly...then mix it with something shimmery like a bronzer. you can also add black/brown eyeliner

  2. darker grey towards the eye and lighter out towards the eye socket.....try to blend it out so it looks natural

  3. for a min i thought u wanted to know so u could go out like that lol i would have stoped u!!!

  4. i would use a flat brown bronzer where the shadows would be.

  5. Well that girl also naturally has those type of eyes...but applying a dark shade in the crease of your eye with a brush works..just go back and forth in your crease and look up while you do it...then blend.
