If your in Australia you can you use REVS (Registry of Encumbrance Vehicle Service). The best part it's free over the phone. If you want a certificate which protects you in the event they were wrong, it's $15..... piece of mind.

Your local states Wildlife & Fisheries or Parks & Wildlife office would be a good place to start for the boat. DMV will be the place for the trailer specifics. Also, some states don't require titles on the boats and motors so check the requirements locally.
