  1. just be as smart as you can. =>

  2. I hate to say it, but teachers don't fail students, the student fails himself. While it's true that she may be a hard marker, the teacher cannot be 100% blamed for a failing mark.

Put a bit more effort into that class. Prioritize those class's assignments above other ones, and make sure you do everything. Just treat the class as you would any other class, but put a little more effort into it. If the class is something you're not good at, ask for extra help. This will get you bonus points, & the teacher will see that you really are concerned about your mark.

If you ever get a mark you don't like, or don't think you deserve, go to the teacher ASAP! As lenient or strict as they may be, teachers really do not want to fail you. Get them to explain the mark, and if you think it's unfair, explain why. For example, if you got a 60 for a term mark, and you did well on all the tests, bring in the tests to show her and tell her you're confused.

The bottom line is just work hard. They do not want to fail you, and you won't as long as you do your work and put a bit of effort into it. If it's something technical like math or science, make sure you study the formulas and know how to use them. If it's something abstract like English or philosophy, do your best, and eventually you will understand your teacher's marking style. I had a strict teacher who liked us to refer to concepts we discussed in class when writing essays, and another who liked us to be straightforward and just focus on the question. Just pay attention, you will learn more in this subject - and it's especially good for abstract subjects - as strict teachers usually love what they're doing & want others to do well too.

Good luck, and I hope this helped! :)

  3. Pay attention in class, do your assignments and study for tests, which is what you should be doing for all your classes anyway!!  You may be worried about a strict teacher, but when you look back, you might  find that you are grateful for the experience.  Most strict teachers are passionate about the subject, and you can learn a lot from them.

  4. I think you should study hard, do your home works and be polite in the class. It will improve your situation because teachers like their intelgent and polite students.

  5. For a strict teacher (or any teacher), study the work assignments given you, complete all classroom & homework assignments in a thorough and timely manner and always do the very best you can. And you will probably learn more from a strict teacher. You should do fine.
