How can I do it?? Please help.

Question

This morning I received a call telling me that my son's father is dead. He died in his sleep last night. My question is how do I explain to a two year old little boy that his daddy is dead and wont be around anymore???? I have told him that his daddy has went to live with the angles and he is accepting that for now.

I am extremely sorry for you and your son's loss. Just tell him (like someone said) that his daddy can see him now all the time now that he's with the angels. Try not to mention the word dead, he will figure that out on his own.

You just have to tell him in a gentle voice! Say sweetie, do you know where angels come from, (if not, explain) sweetie your daddy died lastnight in his sleep! Just tell it to him plainly, and in time he will learn, even if it takes 2 or 3 years! By the way I'm sorry!
