How can I do this? any suggestions?

I have to start saving money NOW! I'm saving to go to the states next summer, but I have nothing right now, and i need at least 400. I'm 14, and all iget is allowance. Any suggestions to get money fast ? Much appreciated!!

Everyone said the easy stuff... baby sitting, being a tutor or getting a part time job.

If you have any arts and craft experience you could make some jewelry or picture frames and sell them to friends and family.

You could advertise to your friends/family/ and in the local area you live in that you are available to run errands, pick up dry cleaning, basic grocery shopping and charge a fee.

You could clean out your room and closet and have a garage or yard sale and collect money this way. If you do this .... have an ice chest full of soda/pop/coke, and ice cold water and charge a dollar for that too.

If you are into makeup and hair styling, you can maybe talk to your mom and have a girl party at your house and show your friends how to apply makeup, use hair products. Have products available for them to order or already at your house so they can buy them. Kind of like Mary Kay or Avon.

Ask your mom how you can make extra money at home.... besides your allowance. See if you can wash their cars, or your neighbors cars.

Talk to your neighbors and see if they needs someone to water their plants, garden and pick weeds, mow the lawn.

Talk to the people you know that have dogs and see if you can walk their dogs for them, wash them and pick up their p**p on the weekends so they dont have to.  I would pay someone to pick up my dogs p**p in a heartbeat!!!!

i think you will need a bit more than $400.00  unless you are planning to stay with parents , they pay for your food and fun.. and the 400.00 is spending money on things that you want to buy.

hey i am 13 and  baby sit if that is to girl like then try asking around for small jobs like moing  you can get lots of money for that and also if you are smart you could be a tutor and ask for 15 for 45 min!
