How can I donate my eggs?

I am thinking of becoming an egg donor. However I have certain moral thoughts going on - such as I don't want to go through some private company that is going to charge the couple a fortune and advertise me like a prize heifer based on my IQ and looks.

I would like to donate for free to a nice couple who are sure its the right thing, and who aren't just throwing cash at a bad situation. I would like to be able to tell them my family traits and talents and medical history, so they can perhaps understand the child a bit better as it grows up.

I have contacted my local hospital for information, but not heard back yet.

Any ideas or websites/forums would be appreciated.

if your in the uk u could donate to the nhs.your local hospital would be able to help you.
