How can I dress more maturely?

I'm a junior in college but I feel like I dress like a high schooler or even a middle schooler. Most brands like Aero, Hollister, A&F etc that I wear, are the same things that a middle schooler would wear. I feel like I don't look my age..many times people have asked me if i'm in high school! I do wear makeup and stuff, not alot though. What are some ways that I can dress to actually look like a college student? And what are some places that I should shop from?

1] Don't wear 'name' or screen Tshirts.  Buy fitted, woman style ones; in assorted fabrics [ cotton, silk, knit ]; in your most flattering brights and vivid pastels - look great next to your face!

2] save hoodies for chores or workouts. Wear dif jackets or blazers, in dif styles and colors

3] great fitting pants/jeans are a must = no ripped, or distressed, unless you are busting broncos.

4] grown up earrings - no animals, juvenile styles. Grownups wear watches.

5] check your accessories - adult style handbags/messengerbag/backpack; dif color/material belts; coordinated shoes.

6] a little brow shaping, mascara, blush and lip color.

just wear stuff thats more casual and wear less things that have the name brands on them like "aero,hollister,abercrombie" i'm sure you can figure it out

You should try watching "What Not To Wear", or ask someone who watches that show a lot to help you get a new look.

Honestly, if you don't want people to ask if you are in high school, you should stop wearing clothes from Hollister, Aero, etc. and start wearing clothes more for adult women. I mean, I'm not saying you should be in a business suit 24/7, just try not to wear t-shirts, hoodies, jeans, and chucks in public, and update your hair up a bit. Makeup doesn't always help when it comes to dressing yourself up in a more mature fashion. It's actually in the clothes - the makeup just helps the clothes stand out a bit more.

Shop at store that have dressier clothes. Wet seal, Rave, Jcpenney, idk.
