  1. Buy a drill bit  that drills through glass they are sold at wickes .http://www.wickes.co.uk/

  2. Make a wall around where you want the hole (with clay or plasticine) and fill the depression with white spirit. This acts as a cooling lubricant (CARE: FLAMMABLE).

Use a tile bit on a slow setting.

  3. If it is thick glass then get a special drill at a major hardware store. If it is thin glass then you probably need a laser if you are worried about cracking it.

  4. drill  a  very  small/tiny  one  at  a  low-rev  first,  then  work  ur  way  up.

  5. It would be hard to drill, you'll have to grind a hole..with a dremel or something

  6. i have done the same......it was a choice of buying a £10 drill bit or bunging a glazier workshop a fiver, payed a fiver and had an intact bottle left

  7. get diamond tip drill, start with small hole gradually getting bigger

  8. go buy a glass drill bit! Even B&Q stock them! you can use a masonary bit too its fun, uts only that last moment beore you go all the way through that you either do it or the thing explodes!
