Hey, I'm 19 and I'm going on a Carnival cruise in a couple of months. Can anyone reccomend any ways or the best ways do drink during the trip? Should I smuggle on-board or try to order anyways and see how lucky I get? Or should I have my boyfriend order drinks for me? Any suggestions? THANKS!

  1. I went on a cruise when I was 18 back in 95' and it was legal to drink at that age as long as you were on international water.

    Just bring a valid ID.

  2. LOL do not smuggle you will most likely get caught! Secondly if you go with your parents they can order you drinks. Also I am pretty positive they would not care and if anyone asks just tell them you just got engaged and are still looking at rings

(it worked for my bf and me with one obnoxious couple -busy body) and if he gets it for you make sure you dont stand next to him find a out of the way table and wait there (not the table in front of bar)

Also dont buy acholol  and bring it back on board when you stop unless it is something unusual that you have to have because you will have to pay tax to get it off the ship and they will hold it till you get off so it wont be in your room anyhow

  3. If you smuggle booze on board or have an older person order it for you, you can get kicked off the cruise.  You should be able to drink at most of the ports that you will visit.

  4. THE ONLY CRUSE LINE THAT THE DRINKING AGE IS 21 IS DISNEY, THE OTHERS ARE 18, SO YOUR OK. try looking in the most asked qustion on the site, but i know for a fact that its 18!!! good luck and have a great time

  5. Drink alcohol in ports where the drinking age is lower.  Drink the complimentary drinks on-board the ship.  It will be cheaper that way.

  6. Drink what you wanted to drink in the ship at the Ports. The non-US ports never ID. I've seen 14 year olds drinking.

  7. u cud sneak alcohol in coke bottles and lemonade bottles e.g. vodka and coke, vodka and lemonade but you then pose the risk of being kicked off for underage drinking, also your boyfriend if he buys you drinks. how about getn a bit drunk before you go and then havin a quick 'sip' of your boyfriends and friends if they'l let you. also ther are the small bottles of spirits that u cus slip in ur hand bag

u cant lose anythin buy tryin to order a drink, if they ID you then u just say you left your ID at home

  8. the person above me who "knows for a fact" that the only cruise line that requires you to be 21 is disney is just plain wrong.  I don't know where they got their information but Royal Caribbean changed their policy last july (I know because my birthday and my cruise was august, so it put a damper on my plans) I can't say for the lines. However, as long as you have an older person (like you said your boyfriend), just have him get the drinks and you won't have a problem.

  9. just have your boyfriend order for you. As long as you look 21 then people won't stop you when they see you drinking and ask for ID

  10. The "I forgot my ID" ploy won't work.  You buy the drinks with your "Sign and Sail" card, which indicates whether or not you are over 21.
