  1. However, if you wish to delete search history saved by the browser and auto-filled when you type on the yahoo website, here is the solution:

    To clear your history from Internet Explorer:

    1. Go to the "Tools" menu.

    2. Select "Internet Options."

    3. Click the "General" tab.

    4. Click the "Clear History" button. To completely disable the history function, set "Days to keep pages in history" to zero.

    To clear your history from Mozilla Firefox:

    1. Go to the "Tools" menu.

    2. Select "Options" > "Privacy" > "History."

    3. Click on "Clear." To completely disable the history function, set "Remember visited pages for the last X days" to zero ("0").

    4. Click "OK" to exit.

  2. in your yahoo toolbar, click on the arrow next to the pencil and select clear search history

  3. You can delete the history of search bar on ur homepage (whatever it is either Yahoo! or Google) by following this path. Tools> internet options> content> auto complete> clear forms. To stop the generation of history uncheck the box of forms.

    You can delete the search history on ur yahoo toolbar this way. click the arrow in the search box. Select options, click clear history.  Follow this path also. Pencil> toolbar options> uncheck the boxes of enable auto complete and enable history> ok.

    To delete address bar history, follow this path. Tools> internet options> general > clear history > set the number of days to zero> ok.

  5. Download CCleaner, it's free, and cleans up all sorts of privacy stuff.  Uncheck the "cookies" box if you want to keep them.

  6. goto tools pulldown menu, click on internet options and click on browsing history and then delete it

  7. left click the internet explorer go to properties and click on clear history
