Question:

How can I eat breakfast without feeling sick?

I've been told over and over again that I need to eat a good breakfast everyday, and I know I should. The problem is that every time I eat breakfast within an hour or two of waking up, I get really sick to my stomach and end up spending a while in the bathroom. Why does this happen to me? It's been like this for as long as I can remember. What can I do to eat breakfast and not feel sick?

  1. it happens to me alot to i usally take a shower before i wat breakfist and stretch and stuff before u eat that should hlp it hlps me


  2. same with me. eat a tiny amount, seriously tiny.  like half an apple or something.  it might seem ridiculous, but youll feel a little full, itll get you to lunch, and it counts as eating for pesky parents

  3. Try carnation instant breakfast (preferably the powder kind that you mix with milk yourself). It will give you enough calories to help boost your metabolism, but it won't really register to your body as food.

    I have the same problem - breakfast foods make me ill if eaten before noon. :P

  4. I have the exact same problem and I hate it because by lunch time I'm so hungry I'm about to eat my arm off. What I've tried in the past which helps is the carnation shakes which you can probably find at your local grocery store. If those don't work try to eat a biggish dinner or a late night snack. Good luck (we both need it =]).

  5. I always feel queasy every time I try to eat breakfast, and I've found that grabbing a Slim Fast or an instant breakfast shake doesn't exacerbate it at all. (On the other hand, coffee, juice, and fruit do.) If you're anything like me, you'll probably see a lot of benefit just from switching to liquids instead of trying to make your stomach handle solids so early in the morning. Even just a glass of milk is better than absolutely nothing.

    Don't feel like it's all about "shoulds" and "musts;" just drink or eat what you can and your body will work with it.

  6. It happens because you have let your body get used to not eating breakfast. It is not too unlike why people get "sick" when they first quit smoking or first go on a diet. If you allow your body to get used to being unhealthy, when you try to get healthy, the body has a difficult time adjusting. BUT- if you continue to do it, your body will adjust, and you not only will stop feeling sick to the stomach, but you will start to feel better than you ever did before in the morning. You just have to stick to it.

  7. obviously you eather ate too much or ate too little eather way try making a thick shake for the morning instead of solid foods that my help or try to eat more solids
