How can I edit a photo?

Hi everyone. I wanted to know how I can make a photo black and white but have a little splash of color in there. Thanks.

I use a simple program called PhotoFiltre.

You can do so much with it, and it's so simple and easy to use!

All you have to do is download it, (it's free and doesn't take up a lot of memory space!) then yahoo search "PhotoFiltre tutorials"

If you have a copy of Photoshop, which is the industry standard photo-editing software, this can be done easily. Open the photo, then convert the mode to greyscale. It will change to black and white. Convert it back to RGB, and choose a color from your palette. Pick a brush small enough to color in the fine details of the object you want colored, and set the brushes' style to 'Color'. Then paint over your object. The brush style will color your object, rather than paint over it. You can also play with the opacity level to change the outcome.

if you want just one thing to be colored, like you see in commercials and stuff, you need adobe photoshop.

If you mean you want to desaturate the photo, you can do that a lot of ways. Right click the photo and go to open with.... and pick something! The photo editor option lets you partially desaturate the picture. You can even do this on microsoft word i think!
