Question:

How can I escape the rat race??

I want to escape the corporate world, which I've been stuck in for a few years now, and which I have never felt I fit into at all. I am an outdoorsy person; a creative person; and being in an office all day just makes me miserable. Life is so short, and yet I have no idea where to start! I need to stay in London for the next two years for visa requirements but what would you suggest I do?

  1. hello,

    this is a powerful question.

when you say stuck...what do you mean?  "stuck" in most situations means that you do not have a "grip" of money large enough to walk away.  is that your case?  or, is it that you do have a substantial savings and are simply afraid of the outcome when you leave?

as with all escapes it requires some kind of plan...doesn't always have to be perfect but thought-out.  when you escape where, what is your destination?  in order to escape you need tools and preferably some help...however, it is possible to just acquire the tools only.  the tools for you could include any information leading to a major shift in how you think...something that would just put you "over-the-edge" enough to leave.  or, information that will help you develop what you will do to replace the income earned as a..."rat".

i have a feeling that your answer can be found within the following questions and suggestions:

    1.  find out where you will be escaping to (ex. side business and "low-key" part time employment, volunteer work & side business, etc.)  for me, i will be escaping to a full-time focus on my marketing and wholesale business.  does this example make sense to ya?

    2.  determine if you are stuck.  do you have the means to just walk away today?  if not, develop a plan that will get you the money you need to walk out of the maze.

    3.   determine how you are going to replace your current income (if you have to).

    4.   find communities of people online who have already experienced this lifestyle change!

    5.  consume resources that will help you confirm your thoughts of wanting to leave...

    6.  Spiritual or not...if you are miserable at work...you weren't designed with a temperment to depend on anyone else for fulfillment and a way to feed yourself

    i hope this helps...

take care and i know that you will get where you want to...just a matter of time and making the decision to work toward having the lifestyle you were made to have.

    Yes!
