My fiance and I never established paternity concerning. We'd like to do so, but I'm not sure of the steps.

This is really important to us. He's the biological father, but he's not on the birth certificate (long story), and we need to fix that. Please answer if you are familiar with this process! Thanks so much for answers!

  1. Go to court!

  2. 1 st answer is completely right. And not as complicated as it may sound. I also live in KY. My cousin and his wife just did this

  3. Go to the welfare office and tell them you want to establish paternity. They will send you for a dna test. If he is the father then you will have to pay for the test which will not be as expensive as if you were to go through a lawyer to do it.

After it is said to be the father then it has to go to the county attorney then it goes straight to the state then it will be listed on the birth certicicate.
