I sent them to a child a I sponsor thru Christian Childrens Fund. I forgot there will be Customs Fees. I sent the books thru Amazon.com.

Item(s) Subtotal: $14.94

Shipping & Handling: $14.97

-----

Total: $29.91

I can send money to the family to cover the customs fees that will arrive in a few days. Does anyone know how much I would need to send or know of a website that can tell me?(Links please)

Thanks!

  1. To my knowledge you shouldn't have to worry about any kind of Customs charge.  If you ordered through amazon.om and are having them ship it to Honduras, all of the necessary fees should be included.

Also, I have lived in Honduras in the past year and I've received packages and never had to pay a customs fee.  I've also sent packages to other countries before and paid more for shipping due to it being international mail, but again I never paid a customs fee.

If you are unsure, I would contact first Amazon.com to ask what they do for international packages.  Afterward if you are still unsure, contact the Christian Children's Fund and ask them what you can do.  They will probably be able to answer your question well since they are always handling things with sponsors and their children in other countries.

    Good luck and God bless!
