I hate getting back money from my taxes because I could use the money throughout the year. I am trying to figure out what my W-2 will look like so I am hoping you can help me Identify what will go in Box 1.

I get paid 2 times a month. My wages will average $38,500 and I get $1500 bonus so a total of $40,000 for the year. I get a few deductions taken out pretax. These are yearly amounts. I have a POP125 health care payment amount of $5928, $5000 for DCB and $1200 for my retirement. I get reimbursed for the daycare benefits monthly.

For my W-2, what will my box 1 have in it? $27872? $33800?

  1. Google "net to gross paycheck calculator", and you should be able to find a link with your answers.

  2. Nope, $40,000

unless you contribute to a 401k--is that your $1200--then subtract that

UP your retirement contributions, to get more matching funds from employer and to build your retirement savings.  It also reduces your taxable income.

    What's DCB?
