After he points to the window and whispers "creeeeppppy".

Is my 2 year old playing me, or is he really scared?

How can I expect him to sleep in his room , when I don't even want to go in there after THAT?

I'm such a sucker

  1. I know EXACTLY what you mean!  My son used to tell me that I looked like the angels he saw in his room.  I'm not afraid of angels, but it would certainly freak me out.

Do you have curtains or shades on the window that you could "close"?  That might help the fear for him.

Good luck to you.  I've been there.  : )

  2. He could be scared, but most likely he is playing you.  A little advice, don't give in.  My first child I gave in and didn't get him out of my bedroom until he was 10 yrs old.  Yes, do you believe it? Its going to be hard, but stick with it.  You need to tell him nothing is outside his window and mommy has special windows that keeps anything from coming through, or something like that....Don't make the same mistake I did, you'll regret it.

  3. If he has a dresser in his room, try moving it in front of the window with blinds down for a week or two until he gets used to sleeping in his room. You could also position his bed so that he's not facing the window, hopefully after laying down for a few minutes his mind will wander and he'll forget about it. And if it were me, I'd check on him alot lol. Now my windows are seeming a little creepy lol. Good luck.

  4. he probably saw it on tv and if not then ask q's about it and get answers

  5. Sleep in there with him gooooood luck

  6. I have a scary kid, too.

Ask him what you can do to make it less "creepy". See if he tells you.

  7. He knows you're a sucker so he is going to do everything he can to keep from sleeping in his own room.

  8. My son used to tell me there were angels in his room at night but he didn't like them,t hey were mean. This I admit freaked me out a bit but then I remembered how vivid an imagination he must have. As far a window being creepy I'd say he was either doing this to get your attention..or felt the dark outside was scary. But probably heard the word creepy as meaning scared. At the age of 2..buying a special shade that you call the super power shade or something you make up might help too. You can try to ask him what he sees that is scary..but at that age good luck with having him actually tell you in a way you understand. Personally I'd try the shade trick if the not giving in doesn't work. HTH! They get weirder as they grow, believe me! My 4 yr odl is petrified of ants on the ground!

  9. Kids find thing creepy all the time put blinds up on his window and turn on a night light, maybe one night he heard the wind and things blowing so that scared him try turning on soft music for him to listen to when he goes to bed

  10. See where he's getting that from. Maybe he saw it on tv or something.

If not - and he's like "i see dead people..." I would get ahold of your pastor or priest asap.
