Question:

How can I explain to hearing people about my eyes???

My are incredible good ,for the reason why I am deaf and so many hearing people kept telling me how did you know I am here when I am behind you? I try so hard to explain to them about shadow or see any shine metal that moving so that how I know you are behind me.

I am for real deaf person , I need someone to tell me how to explain them ?

  1. What I usually tell others is that since my hearing is gone so my eyesight is sort of "honed" (more sharper) since that is the only way to alert me of my surroundings. It is the same thing for a blind person, their hearing are usually better than an average person's hearing. So in short, we make up for the lost sense(s) with the other senses we have.


  2. Don't worry about it. I totally understand what you're saying.

    I strongly believe that if you have one less sense, for example hearing, that your other senses will be stronger.

    You could tell them it's like being in complete darkness. Their sense of hearing would be stronger to compensate for the loss of site.

  3. try to explain to them that all of your other senses are heightened because of the loss of hearing,,, I would bet that you could even smell if some one is behind you...

    A blind person could hear things that we take for granted, just like you see things we would never notice.
