Question:

How can I extend my hamster cage?

I made a bin cage for my hamster: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=35mgrj6&s=4 and I want to extend it. Could I cut a hole in the side and attach a tube (which would be permanent!) Or is there any other way to extend it? It's a pretty big bin, so I know I can't fit a cage over it- or can I? Any help is welcome!

  1. Its definitely possible. You can do that and connect it to a tank and also connect it to another cage or something.

  2. yea but then you also have to think about the cleaning...those tubes get so gross. So you would have to make the tubes going into your hamsters cage removable/plugable

  3. u could do the tube from 1 to another or u could get 1 the same size or bit smaller and place it ontop cut a bit of the floor out and make a ladder goin up to the next floor for a ladder buy a big 1 or get a bit of wood slant it and chip grooves out of it as steps

  4. Yeah you can cut holes in it and connect tubes. Or you could put one of those long and go upward like this...http://www.petco.com/product/5282/SAM-To...

but get a bunch and make it up and out of your cage then connect it to maybe on of these...http://www.petco.com/product/106235/Habi...

or maybe you could use some of these tubes...http://www.petco.com/product/105859/Supe...

    Good Luck!

  5. you could cut a hole in the side and push a tube through but make sure it is secure. the tubing could connect to a cage on top of a 10 gallon tank full of peat or bedding, they love those!
