How can I extend my television cable cord?

I have a standard television cable that I used to hook up to a TV in my bedroom but I want to move it to a different room and hook the same cable up to it. The bad part is, the cable cord isn't long enough. Is there any way that I can extend the cord so it can reach? I need about 20-25 more feet of cable.

  1. The cables called coaxial cable. They sell long reels of it at stores. Or you can call the cable company and ask them to install another cable jack for you.

  2. You can go to any Radio Shack or even 99 cent stores and buy ready made cables. If your new cable is long enough, just use it in place of the old one. If it is "just enough" for your extension needs, you need a coax barrel to connect the two runs of coax together. If you cant find an actual barrel, you can use a coax splitter as one. You may want to buy some small cable tacks or staples to hold the cable to the wall or base board for your run through the room (just makes it neater)
