How can I feel more relaxed about quitting my job to stay home with my child?

I didn't work when she was an infant and have only starting working for the past two years. I really want to stay home with her and the costs of childcare are about 1/3 of my salary. Still, losing 2/3 of the money I'm making is such a big step for me. My husband supports me either way, but doesn't make a ton of money.

I had planned on working one more year and then homeschooling but lately my daughter has been really harsh, picking up bad saying and phrases at school. I think staying home with her now would be great for her...but I just worry about money. How can I feel better?

  1. It is a total leap of faith and yes there are sacrifices in what you can and can not do when staying at home but to me it is so worth it.  I am a a homeschooling mom and loving every minute of it.  I can shelter her but at the same time we are very active in many activities so she still gets the social aspect of things.  God Bless!
