Fill it up. Note the millage.

At next fill up, note millage and gallons required to fill.

Take difference between the two millages. Divide this by the number of gallons.

the easiest way is to do as followed. Go to the gas station, and top off your vehicle. Reset your trip meter. Drive it for a few days, the more the better, but it is not necessary. When you go back to the gas station, record the amount of gallons of gas it took to top it back off. Divide the numbers of miles on your trip meter by the gallons of gas used to get miles per gallon. If you refill your tank with 15 gallons of fuel, and go 150 miles, 150 divided by 15 is 10 miles per gallon.
