  1. freetaro gave you the best estimates, but failed to mention that the machine must be in excellent condition and working order.  All parts and the case must be pristine.

Sold a 1951 Featherweight by singer, brand new condition still in original shipping crate for $400.  That was after having it serviced by a professional.

  2. I'm a sewing machine technician and a collector. I looked up your serial number and this is what comes up...

    Singer Model 66

    Born on Nov. 10, 1950

    35,000 released on that date

at the Elizabethport factory in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

As far as the value its hard to say. Personally I wouldn't pay more than 50-75 dollars for a nice one. But others might pay more if it works well and is in really nice condition with a nice cabinet.

The standard answer is a machine like this is only worth what someone is willing to offer and your willing to accept.

These machines last forever and back then every other house had one. So there are literally thousands and thousands out there if a person really looks. These are great machines (thats why there are so many). Instead of selling it maybe you should watch eBay and collect the many different attachments available back then. There is a zigzag attachment (Singer zigzagger), an attachment that does buttonholes and many others.

As long as its nice and the decals aren't worn off I would value it between 50 and 150.00 dollars in a good cabinet. Search Singer 66 on eBay and you will get a general idea.

    Enjoy it.

  3. Couldn't find the pic bit hope this link will help.

  4. Picture link didn't work.  Can you provide the serial number -- that'll help us figure out the year and model number.

But ... here's some real rough and general guidelines (could vary greatly depending on accessories and condition):

If it's an old "black" Singer, then it could go between $25 and $350 or so ... depending on the model.  If it's a beige Singer, then figure between $50 and $150 ... again, depending on the model (if it's a beige 221, then it might go for $400).  If it's more modern -- plastic exterior -- then maybe $25 to $50.

The model will help a lot -- the serial number should be on the base of the machine right in front of the "tower" portion.
