I am planning to dog an acre sized pond x 15' center with sloping sides. How can I figure how many yards of dirt I will get from the pond.

Is there an easy way to get a rough figure.

  1. Actually I think it would be easier to figure in cubic feet.

You figure it width X length x depth = cubic feet then find a converter calculator and figure it into yards.  I really don't think figuring it in linear yards would be the correct way

Square Feet to Square Yards conversion calculator

Enter the Square Feet value that you wish to convert into Square Yards
