I would like to buy or find several gigs of general music to fill my ipod. Buying one song at a time with itunes will take years and maybe $40k. Limewire is still slow but free. I just want to buy a big block of music to listen to. Is this possible and where?

  1. Not really. Even if you could download 10,000 songs legally in one go, it'd cost you a fortune and it's take time for the download to finish. After that, you'd have a fairly brief time getting it on your iPod.

The easiest way to get music in a large block would be to find someone with a large collection and ask to borrow their hard drive. Swap the files through USB or through IDE/SATA connection to yours, then return it.
