You can try http://www.v1g.org I think it will cost you like 20 bucks but you'll be able to check that record, and many many other records for an unlimited time. Plus the data is dead-on accurate. Hope this helps!

At the link below.  The Illinois State Archives has an online index to Illinois marriages occurring prior to 1901.  There are limits to what is in the index -- not all counties are included and pre-1871 records for Chicago were complied from pre-Chicago Fire newspaper announcements.
