I am looking for grants to build on to my home, which is an original homestead. I want to use straw as the structural basis and stucco and clay as paints. I am also going to be building a wind generator and solar pannels for heat and electricity. I going to attempt to use a large outside wood stove to heat water to warm the floors and as a forced air furnace. This will be a first home built in this area using these materials. I am hoping to have small seminars to help others to use renewable resources in our area. I am also hoping to find the plans to redefine my automobiles into using water as fuel. If anyone knows where I can locate the grant locations so I can write for these grants that would be most usefull

  1. I'm not sure if you're taling about EarthShips or not, but most grants, loans, etc for home building will require the home to be marketable and that it be a quality home when finished.

I don't think that EarthShips, currently, are very marketable. But that's just my opinion based on the small number of them actually on the market.

  2. Good luck with that.  If you want to see how to, here is a link.
