Question:

How can I find a horse that was sold while I was away?

There was this horse that I rode and trained at a barn that is no longer around. He was a brown and white paint either a very small horse, or a big pony. He had a black mark of an upside down heart on his upper lip. I'll see if I can upload some pictures. He went by the name of Camelot. He was sold at an auction in NJ. If anyone knows how I can find out if he is okay, or knows of him, please let me know. He was the first horse I trained and it kills me to have no idea what happened to him. I just want to know. I don't know what auction, or when (at least four years ago), or who he got sold to, and no way of finding out. Sorry for so little information, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  1. is the place (meaning the barn) still around? Go there and ask boarders if they remember the horse, if they were there when that horse was still there. They may have info, as to who took him on that day of the auction, and give you there name. At least if you have that you can track down that person and ask if they have any info. It is pretty difficult to find out what happens to a horse after auction, the horse may not even be in the same state anymore.

  2. Go to the auction house, and ask if they can tell you who bought the horse. It might be confidential information, but its worth a try.

  3. put up adds in locak tack shops etc someone may now where he is or sho he was sold to

  4. once there sold it is so hard to find them i looked for two horses i sold in NJ and never did fine them. but good luck you never no.try the horse shows
