Also, check out the financial aid office webpage of the college you want to attend since they provide info on scholarships and grants that are specific to their insitution.

I used to have a government grant book but it has walked off by itself.  It was "Matthew Something" (last name unsure) but check with local library or bookstore.  He does an infocomerical on tv he's the one dressed in question marks.

Great book...tells you where to write and gives you information about the grant. In the book is private and government grants.  I did have a name of a  woman that writes grants and she charged a small user fee but it to has walked off.
