How can I find a person who I knew 20 years ago in a different country?

I traveled to Germany when I was a teenager with my German class. Part of the trip we stayed at a "host" family. I would love to find them again, but I only have their last name, where the father used to work, and the daughters name. It should be easy but... I haven't spoken German for the last 20 years and no address. I just think it would be fun to contact them again any suggestions?

subscribe to one of the German research lists at rootsweb.. then post a message relating to that locality.  The internet being what it is today, you stand a good chance of meeting someone online who lives in Germany, and would be willing to give pointers, or lookups in local sources.
